Metra cancels 2 trains after derailment in Harvard
HARVARD - Two trains scheduled to run from Harvard to Chicago have been canceled after one of the trains derailed this morning, according to Metra.
Train 610 from Harvard, scheduled to depart at approximately 5:47 a.m., derailed in the Harvard yard this morning, Metra Spokesman Tom Miller said. The derailment blocked a second train scheduled to depart at 7:35 a.m.
No one was injured during the incident.
Train 618 is making extra stops in Palatine and Barrington, Miller said. The 7:08 a.m. train departing from Harvard ran as scheduled.
The next train leaving from Harvard is at 9:35 a.m.
