SHRM program on independent contractor risk mitigation

McHENRY – Stateline Society for Human Resource Management will host a breakfast seminar on Independent Contractor Risk Mitigation at 7:45 a.m. Jan. 10.

The program at the Shah Center, 4100 W. Shamrock Lane, McHenry, will be presented by Cam Moeser, the Midwest region vice president for Superior Staff Resources.

Moeser will share what he argues are the “mythical practices” implemented by well-intentioned organizations aimed at reducing misclassification risk.

His presentation on an issue that continues to gain momentum across industries as scrutiny, audits, and investigations rise demands that employers walk away from the discussion with the critical knowledge and sense of urgency necessary to return to their businesses and give due diligence to a review of their practices.

Cost to members is $15, and nonmembers $30, payable by cash or check at the door. Credit card payments can be made online at http://stateline.shrm.org when registering. Reservations are required no later than Jan. 7. For information, email info@stateline.shrm.org.
