Always giving

To the Editor:

This year marked the 22nd year for Community Harvest, a Crystal Lake event held annually to collect food and funds throughout the fall season. All donations are used to benefit clients of the Crystal Lake Food Pantry, as well as the Jaycees’ Share-A-Christmas program, in an effort to feed local families during the winter months.

The Crystal Lake Community Harvest Committee gives thanks to every person who gave food, monetary donations, or helped in any phase of the drive; and to the 1,200 volunteers who came out on Thanksgiving morning to help sort the donated food, making this year’s Community Harvest so successful.
