Bond reduced in sex-abuse case

WOODSTOCK – Bond was cut in half Tuesday for a Crystal Lake man accused of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.

Michael A. Petersen, 35, was arrested Friday. He faces two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and one count of indecent solicitation.

Petersen’s bond had been set at $100,000, but was reduced by McHenry County Judge Gordon Graham to $50,000. He must post 10 percent, or $5,000, to be released.
