To the Editor:

It appears our local taxing bodies and their associated trustees are not listening to us, the taxpayers, and are not reading the local newspapers. The taxing bodies are raising their tax imposed levies on us without any regard to internal fiscal management.

Again this year, they are increasing their budgets and tax levies at a time when our property values and family incomes are dropping, in some cases significantly. There’s protection in numbers and there are a lot of taxing bodies in McHenry County. It’s out of control.
