To the Editor:
I would like to thank all of the wonderful people who donate blood. Last year, my husband, Don, was diagnosed with meylodisplastic syndrone, where the bone marrow no longer makes blood.
From last December until his death in October, he had gotten 47 units of blood plus some units of platelets.
Before he had bypass surgery in 1989, he also donated blood, but after 1989, they would no longer take his blood.
Without your blood, he would not have lived as long as he did. So thank you again. Keep donating so others can benefit from your gift.
God Bless all of you!
