To the Editor:

I woke up this morning and wondered how the folks in Newtown, Conn., are awaking and trying to understand the events of last Friday morning.

I have little experience with automatic weapons, so I must ask those who have that knowledge – what will you say to a parent, grandparent, relative or a survivor of the classrooms of why it was important for the presence of three automatic weapons to be needed in a home? How is a minority group wanting those weapons more important than the right of safety and health for a majority?
