Missed opportunity
To the Editor:
As I sat watching the news coverage the morning after the shooting in Newtown, Conn., and simultaneously reading the opinion page of the Northwest Herald, I was surprised at the editorial “Celebrate Bill of Rights.”
The day after such a tragedy offers many potential topics, from sympathy to a call of action. Yet the editorial was a rather transparent statement in support of gun ownership.
