Much better off

To the Editor:

To Republican House Speaker John Boehner, Republican senators, and Republican congressmen, the presidential election is over, just in case you haven’t noticed, and your candidate lost. If he had won, you would be able to try to force his plans and ideas through, but he lost. His objective was to not raise taxes on the ultra-rich, and the president’s objective is to raise taxes on the ultra-rich. The citizens spoke with their votes and were in favor of the president’s plans. Therefore, you should work with the president to pass the budget, and keep the economy and the country moving forward.

In four years, if his plan is not working, the Republicans should work to get a viable candidate who could get their ideas passed. In the meantime, if the Republicans worked half as hard working with the president, for the benefit of all the citizens, as they do working against him, we all would be much better off.
