Spring Grove police doing checks
SPRING GROVE – The Spring Grove Police Department will step up enforcement of seat belt usage and driving under the influence.
The campaign will run through New Year’s Eve and concentrate on the hours between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to a news release.
The times were picked based on Illinois Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data showing that midnight to 3 a.m. is the deadliest time on Illinois roadways.
