Musgrove: Chamber to build on success

This month the board of directors and staff have been busy reviewing this past year and planning for the next. In 2013. the chamber will continue its successful benefits, including multi-member business after hours mixers, Biz-E-Buzz e-blast service, website updates, scholarship programs, business expos, golf outing, community guide, greeter service, social media marketing, Tri-County Pro Rodeo, and educational seminars. We are constantly researching new programs that help promote the healthy business growth of our members.

The Harvard chamber has introduced its 2013 board of directors. Executive Board: Past President Barb Rowe of Dicks, President Mic Woods of Wal-Mart, Vice President Mark Castiglioni of Cash Saver, and Treasurer Vicki Schulz of Twin Garden Farms. Board of Directors: Jeffery Parks of Harvard State Bank, Martin Figueroa of Harvard Chevy-Buick, Mark Hathaway of Anytime Fitness, Kim McFarlin of Harvard Savings Bank, R. Amy Beestra of Stahl Insurance, Raul Meza of Castle Bank, Dr. Laurie Tobias of School District 50, and Mayor Jay T. Nolan. Welcome to our newest director, Cathy Adams of Adams Collision.

Thank you to all our returning board of directors for all of their hard work, time and dedication to the chamber. The chamber and its members greatly appreciate their contribution and the businesses that allowed them to participate and add to our organization.

Come join us on Feb. 2 as we invite everyone to a Winter Wonderland Luau Dinner and Silent Auction at Starline Factory. Silent auction and cocktails start at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6:30. Music will follow. We will be honoring our outstanding business and many of our member’s achievements as well as our community Volunteer of the Year. Don’t miss this night of fun, music, dancing and great items to bid on.Thanks to the businesses that donated silent auction items.
