Police investigate armed robbery at Dundee-Crown

CARPENTERSVILLE – Dundee-Crown High School is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest after a student said he was robbed at gunpoint outside the school Tuesday night.

About 5:50 p.m., two young adult males approached a sophomore in the school’s south parking lot while a girls basketball game was in progress, according to a notice sent to District 300 families and staff by Dundee-Crown Principal Lynn McCarthy and Superintendent Michael Bregy.

After some conversation, one of the perpetrators with a handgun allegedly robbed the sophomore of his cellphone and asked for his keys.
