Registration open for volunteer management training

McHENRY – Registration is open for a two-day Volunteer Management Training scheduled for Jan. 17 and 18.

This workshop by United Way of Greater McHenry County Volunteer Center will be at United Way headquarters, 4508 Prime Parkway.

Check-in and networking will be from 7:30 to 8 a.m. Jan. 17. The event will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and finish at 4 p.m. On Jan. 18, training will be from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Registration for the training is required.

The training can be beneficial in managing volunteers for a nonprofit organization, church or civic group, or in leading service projects in the community.

It is designed to equip participants with tools and skills to increase the impact of a volunteer force.

It is based on the nationally recognized Betty Stallings Training Series.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of the training.

Registration can be completed online at www.volunteermchenrycounty.org.

Early bird registration is $140 for Volunteer Center members and $160 for nonmembers until Dec. 31. After that, the fee is $160 for members and $180 for nonmembers.

Continental breakfast and lunch are included for both training days.
