2 more students surrender in NIU hazing death
DEKALB – Two more fraternity members charged with hazing after a pledge died following a night of heavy drinking have surrendered to police.
Twenty-two members of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity were charged following an investigation into the Nov. 2 death of 19-year-old David Bogenberger.
DeKalb police said the Northern Illinois University freshman was found unresponsive after a party for pledges. They said Bogenberger and others drank large quantities of liquor over a two-hour period.
