Harvard day care gets grant to expand
HARVARD – A local day care center will expand its services with $3.2 million of a state grant, state Rep. Jack Franks, D-Marengo, announced Friday.
Brown Bear Daycare and Learning Center received the money under the Early Childhood Construction Grant program and will use to expand its building by about 18,750 square feet to add additional infant and toddler rooms and play areas.
“Residents in Harvard and across McHenry County will benefit greatly from expanded child care and families will have access to services that might not otherwise be offered,” Franks said in a statement.
