Police: Woman stole $6,400 from Harvard bank
HARVARD – A Harvard woman has been charged with theft after stealing more than $6,000 from the local bank she worked at, according to the Harvard Police Department.
Rosario M. Gonzalez, 27, was arrested Thursday and charged with felony theft of more than $500. She was later released from custody after posting a $2,000 bond.
Approximately $6,300 was found missing Sept. 6 from a cash draw at Harvard Community Credit Union, 1200 S. Division St., according to police reports.
Investigators later determined that Gonzalez, an employee at the bank, stole approximately $6,400 over an undisclosed amount of time.
She is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Thursday.
