TLC workdays begin Wednesday

WOODSTOCK – After a brief holiday break, The Land Conservancy of McHenry County’s Winter Land Restoration Days are set to start again.

No experience is necessary. Tools and refreshments will be provided. Volunteers should dress for the weather, wear sturdy work shoes and bring water to drink.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, volunteers will gather at the Weier Preserve in Island Lake to rescue some oaks and hickories. The site is at the northwest corner of Roberts and Lamphere roads. Volunteers should park along Lamphere.
