Fire destroys condo 
in Richmond

RICHMOND – An early morning fire Monday left a Richmond condominium uninhabitable and caused about $40,000 in property damage, fire officials said.

The Richmond Fire Department was called at 2:53 a.m. for a fire at a unit in the Silver Trees Condominiums, 5901 Milwaukee Ave.

Officials reported seeing smoke billowing from the unit, according to a news release from the Richmond Fire Department.
