Volunteer management training offered

McHENRY – Registration is now open for a two-day Volunteer Management Training program. The training will be held Jan. 17 and 18 at United Way of Greater McHenry County, 4508 Prime Parkway, McHenry,

Registration can be completed online at www.volunteermchenrycounty.org by clicking on Training. All participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the program.

The training benefits anyone managing volunteers. Topics that are covered in the training include: supervising, delegating, evaluating, and motivating volunteers; orientating and training volunteers; risk management; and dealing with problem volunteer situations. Seasoned volunteer managers, as well as individuals new in their role will benefit from this training. 

The workshop is offered by Not-For-Profit Resources, which manages the Volunteer Center of McHenry County, and provides professional development events to strengthen nonprofits, and organize the McHenry County Human Race,
