Power of compassion
To the Editor:
Lately, I have been caught pondering the sense of unity in this country of ours. We call ourselves the United States of America, but yet have every title and group to categorize its citizens, which further separates everyone. Political affiliations, religion, sexual orientation, financial wealth, etc., and in the midst of most, if not all of these, lies tension and animosity toward one another.
I find it extremely crucial that in order to make an impact and change in this country, we must truly embrace the power of compassion and unite like our country’s name implies. At the end of the day, we are all humans no matter what, and we all should be treated as such.
