Officials suspect arson in deadly Chicago fire
CHICAGO – Authorities say an early morning fire that killed a woman and badly burned three others, including two young children, is being investigated as an arson attack.
The Chicago Tribune reported that officials believe someone poured an accelerant around the apartment and possibly on the children.
Fire officials say a 5-year-old girl had burns over her entire body and an older boy had burns over 35 percent of his body. They were listed in critical condition at Stroger Hospital. The woman died at the hospital.
