Giving their time

To the Editor:

Members of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program made the holidays a little nicer this year when they delivered meals and gifts to McHenry County seniors and others in need. Donations of Thanksgiving meals provided through The Salvation Army and willing volunteers delivered food baskets given by The Chapel.

During the busy season, many more RSVP volunteers gave their time to deliver gifts provided by Holy Apostle, “Be a Santa to a Senior” (Home Instead), and the more than 50 baskets that were donated and created by a huge group of volunteers.
