Police: 1 dead in southern Illinois bar fight
SESSER – Authorities in southern Illinois say one man is dead after a bar fight in the small community of Sesser.
Illinois State Police say 56-year-old John Franklin of Sesser died of injuries from an altercation last week at Bank Lounge.
Police say 45-year-old Michael Romani of Sesser is in custody at Franklin County Jail on a charge of aggravated battery. A listed telephone number for Romani in Sesser could not be located Sunday.
