Health department, Centegra offer quit-smoking class

CRYSTAL LAKE – A seven-week quit smoking class for adults is offered by McHenry County Department of Health and Centegra Health System.

The class begins Jan. 9 and teaches practical ways to end nicotine addiction through group support and behavior modification. It also reviews nicotine replacement products.

Instruction is provided by health department staff trained in the American Lung Association’s “Freedom from Smoking” program. It is made possible by funds received from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
