Report details changes in Benghazi explanations

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Senate report says the CIA, the FBI and the intelligence community all made major changes in talking points that led to the Obama administration's confusing public explanation of the attack on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Benghazi, Libya.

The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee report on Monday also says the director of national intelligence has been stonewalling the panel after promising a timeline to explain the changes.

U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the Sept. 11 attack. U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice used the talking points to say in television interviews that the attacks may have been preceded by a demonstration against an anti-Muslim film.
