2 men charged in connection with Chicago slaying
CHICAGO – Two Chicago men have been arrested in the shooting death of another man – one with first-degree murder and the other for allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase on the city's South Side following the slaying.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Chicago police say that 30-year-old Yecary Harris allegedly shot and killed 28-year-old Christopher Thomas on Sunday evening and then jumped into a car driven by 31-year-old Rodney Harris.
Police spotted the car and chased it. The car entered the Dan Ryan Expressway and then as it exited, struck another vehicle. The two men jumped out and tried to run away, but were captured a short time later by police.
