Top 10 McHenry County fugitive arrested in Arkansas

WOODSTOCK – A woman listed on the McHenry County Sheriff's Top Ten Fugitive List has been apprehended in Arkansas.

Sarah E. Frye, 32, also known as Sarah E. Weed, pleaded guilty in 2004 to retail theft and endangering the life or health of a child.

According to the criminal complaint, the child was not in a child-safety seat while Frye "eluded police in a pursuit."

Frye was given credit for 108 days served in jail, sentenced to two years of probation, and ordered to complete a parenting class.

In 2006, she was resentenced to an additional two years of probation and 110 days in jail.

However, prosecutors filed a petition to revoke her probation after they said she did not attend treatment and tested positive for heroin on multiple occasions and cocaine once.

On Oct. 16, 2007, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office obtained an arrest warrant for Frye, but her whereabouts were unknown.

Frye was added to the Top Ten Fugitive List in June, and last month a member of the public provided a tip that Frye had been living in Pocahontas, Ark.

On Wednesday, Frye was taken into custody by the Pochahontas Police Department. She currently is incarcerated at the Randolph County (Ark.) Correctional Facility and is awaiting extradition back to McHenry County.

Frye also had a felony theft arrest warrant out of Winnebago County, a civil arrest warrant out of Ogle County, and a traffic arrest warrant out of Rockford.

No. 1 on the sheriff's Top 10 Fugitive List is Roberto Valdez-Calixto, 33, who is wanted for first-degree murder, accused of stabbing Cecilio Hernandez to death in February 2005.

Orron K. Marshall, 23, who has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and resisting a peace officer, is No. 2 on the list. His last known address was in Elgin.

Cecil T. Barnes, 31, with a last known address in Lisle, is third on the list. He is charged with unlawful delivery of cocaine and unlawful possession of cocaine.
