School safety to be topic of Coffee with Chief Jones

Police Chief John Jones invites city residents to attend the second Coffee with Chief Jones Event from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 14 in the classroom inside City Hall, 333 S. Green St.

This monthly event occurs on the second Monday of each month. This public meeting is offered to residents as part of the McHenry Police Department’s continued commitment in keeping  citizens and community informed, while obtaining feedback from the public.

Each Coffee with Chief Jones Event will begin with a presentation of a topic or guest speaker.  Jones  then will give an overview of events or criminal activities that have occurred within the city over the past month. The evening will end with a question-and-answer session.

January's topic is “School Safety in McHenry."

Coffee and treats will be served.
