WOODSTOCK – District 200 is selling tickets and accepting donations for the Education Foundation’s annual banquet and auction.
The event – which includes dinner, a cash bar, live and silent auctions, a reverse raffle and the presentation of the annual District 200 Award of Excellence – starts at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at Donley’s Village Hall Banquets, 8512 S. Union Road, Union. Tickets are $50 a person and are available at the district office, 227 W. Judd St., Woodstock. Reverse raffle tickets also are available for $100 each; only 100 will be sold.
The district is seeking items to auction – donations ranging from big-ticket items to gift baskets. Donations may be taken to Carol Smith at the district office.
The district auctioned “Groundhog Day” movie props and memorabilia in 1994 to establish the foundation.
Since then, the foundation has granted $405,000 toward District 200 projects.
