Huntley Lacrosse Academy set for Sunday

Huntley High School's varsity Lacrosse coach is offering a one-day training academy Sunday for students of all ages interested in learning about the sport.

Coach Phil Ryan will host the event that is designed to teach kids Lacrosse fundamentals for beginners and advanced skills for veteran players. The fee to participate is $75, and a helmet, gloves, stick, shoulder and arm pads are required for the academy.

The Sunday academy is at the Union Special building on Route 47 in Huntley. The starting times and age groups for the academy include:

Grades 2-5 (20-player limit) from noon to 1 p.m.

Grades 6-8 (15-player limit) from 1 to 2 p.m.

Grades 9-11 (15-player limit) from 2 to 3 p.m.

Grades 10-12 (15-player limit) from 3 to 4 p.m.
