To the Editor:

I applaud Joanne Daubner for keeping the opposition to the purchase of Chalet Hills Golf Course in the news by leading a petition drive to place an advisory referendum on the ballot in April.

Regardless of what the Cary Park District Board is saying about the financial contributions Foxford Hills Golf Course has made to the park district over the years, there is no guarantee that Chalet Hills Golf Course will be profitable. I don’t personally want the Cary Park District Board to gamble with taxpayer money.
