HEBRON – A barn was damaged during a fire Wednesday morning in Hebron, according to authorities.

Members of the Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District were called to the 1400 block of Green Valley Road at around 6 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a barn fire, according to a news release. Crews arrived to find fire and smoke coming from a small barn in the area.

Firefighters used approximately 300 gallons of water to extinguish the fire, which took about 10 minutes, fire officials said. No one was injured during the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but is presumed electrical in nature.

The barn was only partially damaged, fire officials said.

Crews from Richmond, Wonder Lake, Spring Grove, Harvard and Woodstock provided assistance.
