Learn to play uphill lies to become a better golfer

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Practicing from an uphill lie will help you learn to distribute your weight better on the back swing. It will also help you become a better ball-striker and more aggressive on the forward swing.

Start by finding a gentle upslope. Because of the slope, it's easier to feel your weight shifting to your back foot.

A lot of people focus so much on keeping their head still that they lose the perspective of transfering weight from foot to foot. Practicing on a gentle uphill slope makes it easier to feel the shift in energy.

When you get more comfortable with this feeling, you'll be able to bring that shift to your normal swing.
