Bates: Chamber's 'High Tea" Wednesday at Shah Center
Humorist book reviewer Jenny Riddle will appear at the McHenry Area Chamber "High Tea” at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Shah Center, 4100 W. Shamrock Lane, McHenry.
With the theme Love the Journey, Riddle will take us on journeys featuring three interesting people.
Grant Achatz, who wrote "Life, on the Line," is Chicago’s own renowned chef. That beautiful plate of food you’re served has heartache, joy, and sheer creativity behind it. The next journey is with Jane Borden, whose book "I Totally Meant to Do That" explores southern debutante Jane’s move from North Carolina to New York City. Finally, Jenny shares Erma Bombeck’s humorous approach to life from "Forever, Erma." It is the journey, not the destination that is important!
