To the Editor:

Kudos to the Daisy Committee for putting together a program rewarding nurses who never seem to get the recognition they deserve. I could not single out just one nurse to nominate, so I am nominating the team of nurses in radiation and chemotherapy infusion at the Sage Center in McHenry.

Each and every one of them are deserving of their own individual sculpture award because each in their own way have contributed so much to the lives that count on them every day to pull them through their battle with cancer. Since “A Healer’s Touch” sculpture cannot be presented to each individual nurse, I am proposing that one sculpture be presented to the nurses in radiation and chemo infusion as a team and a commendation certificate be presented to each one individually.
