Dismembered body found on Chicago train tracks

CHICAGO — Police are investigating the death of a man whose dismembered body was found on train tracks in downtown Chicago.

Authorities say the conductor of a Chicago Transit Authority train discovered the body as the train pulled into the LaSalle station early Monday.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office says the body appears to have been on the tracks for some time when it was found.

Police have begun a death investigation.
