Keep junk food out of the house

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Whether you’re a food saint or a food junkie, keeping junk food out of the house is one of the best ways to try to eat healthier.  Whenever temptations are there, they likely will be consumed.

The more often you eat junk food, the more calories you are consuming, and the greater the chance to put on pounds.

I hear a lot of people say “so and so makes me keep this around the house.”

The truth is, we all like having bad stuff around the house because we all like to eat it.  It might take one person to start this initiative, but the whole family can benefit from this positive change.

I’m not saying you should never eat junk food - I’m just saying to leave it as something special you consume as a treat outside the home.  Taking a weekly trip to the DQ instead of having a bowl of ice cream every night before bed could save you thousands of calories and a pound or two around the waist.
