Busy McHenry Avenue set to be reworked
CRYSTAL LAKE – While it seems the construction season just ended, the Crystal Lake City Council this week approved measures to repair a busy roadway.
McHenry Avenue from Route 14 to the newly expanded Rakow Road will be resurfaced, storm sewers will be upgraded and a 10-foot-wide bike path will be installed near Crystal Lake South High School.
Drivers should prepare for intermittent lane closures during the resurfacing work, city officials said.
