Big rig rolls, burns on I-90

A semitrailer hauling flour rolled over and caught fire after it struck a camper Thursday night on Interstate 90 in Huntley.

An early investigation shows the camper trailer had dislodged from the vehicle that was pulling it, authorities said.

The truck’s driver was taken to Sherman Hospital in Elgin with minor injuries, said Master Sgt. Tim Zych of Illinois State Police District 15.

Lanes of the highway were closed for about 30 minutes after the 9:20 p.m. crash that was handled by emergency crews from Huntley and Hampshire.
