Not fair to anyone
To the Editor:
My wife and I are average folks in our 70s, intelligent and independent voters. Here’s what we can’t figure out. We can vote for only four federal offices: the president/vice president, two senators and one representative to the U.S. House. But our fate can and will, probably, be determined by the dozens of other legislators, none of whom we can vote for or against. That’s not fair to anyone.
Our election system needs an overhaul, but we would trust our auto mechanic more than Congress to get that done.
