Wauconda crash sends two to hospital
WAUCONDA – A one-car crash about 7:20 p.m. Thursday in Wauconda sent two people to a hospital with injuries that Wauconda Fire District Battalion Chief Kevin Pyne said did not appear to be life-threatening.
“The car went off the road and into a tree” along Darrell Road, just north of Case Road, Pyne said.
Officials said the driver, a woman who was not identified, was pinned in the car. It took 90 minutes to extricate her. She was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville and her passenger went to the same hospital by ambulance.
