CRYSTAL LAKE – Prairie Ridge overcame a four-point halftime deficit to top Jacobs, 56-51, in Fox Valley Conference Valley Division boys basketball action Tuesday.
Junior Michael Bradshaw scored 20 points, dished four assists and had a pair of steals for the Wolves (6-12 overall, 3-3 FVC Valley).
Ryan Gilbert scored 11 points and Steven Ticknor added nine points and six rebounds for Prairie Ridge, which shot 17 of 34 from the field.
Senior Pat Nerja led for Jacobs (10-9, 3-2) with 18 points and four assists.
CL Central 63, Grayslake North 53: At Crystal Lake, Corban Murphy scored 17 of his game-high 24 points in the second half as the Tigers (16-2, 4-1 FVC Fox) defeated the Knights (11-7, 2-3) in their division game at Central’s Fieldhouse.
Brad Knoeppel added 11 for Central, which trails Hampshire by half a game in the FVC Fox. A.J. Fish led North with 20 points.
Alden-Hebron 50, Keith Country Day 31: At Hebron, Greg Johnson scored 12 points and Bryce Lalor added 11 in the Northeastern Athletic Conference win for the Giants (8-10, 3-3).
Lakes 49, Richmond-Burton 44: At Lake Villa, Alex Callanan scored a team-high 14 points on a trio of 3-pointers and pulled down nine boards, but the Rockets (11-9) took the nonconference loss.
Grayslake North 67, Johnsburg 40: At Johnsburg, Brittney Thibeaux (22 points) and Jordan Bower (18) combined for 40 points on 17 buckets in the FVC Fox Division win for the Knights (19-1, 9-0).
Megan Landazzi (16) led for the Skyhawks (2-20, 1-8).
Marengo 39, Genoa-Kingston 35: At Genoa, Jessica Villia threw down a game-high 19 points on seven buckets and 5-of-6 shooting from the stripe in a Big Northern Conference East Division win for the Indians (7-15, 4-3).
Marengo 2,966, Mendota 2,910: At Mendota, Dominique Bailey (589 pins) and Liz Iverson (542) led the undefeated Indians (12-0) as they clinched the BNC conference title.
Warren 88, Cary-Grove 79: At Gurnee, Tyler King won the 50-yard free (22.87 seconds) and the 100-yard free (49.65), and Michael Hamann won the 200-yard individual medley (2:03.5) for the Trojans.
