Whips top Blue Streaks
WOODSTOCK – Hampshire played the kind of basketball in the second quarter about which teams dream.
For five-plus minutes, the Whip-Purs held Woodstock without a point. In that same time span, Hampshire ran fluid offense and made crucial shots. Although the lead at halftime was eight points, it seemed like much more.
Hampshire continued to pad its lead in the second half and defeated the Blue Streaks, 64-49, in a boys basketball game between the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division co-leaders Tuesday at James M. Shipley Memorial Gymnasium.
