Kindergarten registration sessions set
WOODSTOCK – Parents of soon-to-be District 200 kindergartners must attend one of three informational meetings in early February.
The meetings – 6 p.m. Feb. 6, and 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Feb. 7 – will provide parents with information about program options and prepare them for registration in the Woodstock-based district. The deadline to register for fall 2013 is Feb. 12.
The information sessions – in English or Spanish – will be at the Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center, 2045 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock.
Registration is open at the meetings. Parents must bring the $115 registration fee and an original or certified copy of the child’s state-issued birth certificate to prove the child’s age. Children who turn 5 on or before Sept. 1 are eligible for kindergarten.
Parents wanting to register a child at the meeting also should bring proof of residency within District 200 – a current utility bill with the family’s name and address, current tax bill or a voter registration card showing a current address.
School physicals and immunizations through a partnership with McHenry Community Health Center also will be offered. The clinic’s hours during registration are 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 6 and 1:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 7.
