Nippersink District 2 cuts student sports fees
RICHMOND – Nippersink District 2 athletes will pay a lot less next year to participate in their sports.
The District 2 school board unanimously voted to cut the competitive sports fee to $50 from $150 to bring its fees in line with what other districts charge. Noncompetitive or intramural sports fees also were cut to $35 from $50.
“I would love to see the sports fees go down and participation go up,” board President Bert Irslinger said. “Hopefully, this will help to some extent.”
