Mother, son facing heroin charges in Illinois
BELLEVILLE, Ill. — A southwestern Illinois mother and son already accused of concealing an overdose death now face heroin-trafficking charges.
Prosecutors in St. Clair County have charged 65-year-old Deborah Perkins and 46-year-old Douglas Oliver II of Fairview Heights with trafficking and unlawfully possessing a controlled substance.
The two also face federal charges that they possessed a controlled substance with plans to deliver it.
