Vehicle break-ins lead to charges
CRYSTAL LAKE – Thirty-four additional charges were filed Wednesday against a Crystal Lake man arrested Dec. 19 for alleged unlawful use of a credit card and possession of heroin.
The new charges against Daniel K. White, 27, of 1528 Candlewood Drive, stem from incidents in Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Carpentersville and Elgin. They include 17 counts of burglary to a motor vehicle, three counts of possession of someone else’s credit card, one count of forgery and one count of theft.
Credit cards stolen in vehicle break-ins on the southwest side of Crystal Lake were used at several local stores, Crystal Lake police said in a news release. Items seized during White’s arrest were linked to the vehicle burglaries, it said.
