A Sunday ice storm brought slick roads throughout McHenry County, which was under a freezing rain advisory throughout much of the day.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office reported there were at least two minor vehicle accidents because of the road conditions Sunday afternoon.

Several municipalities prepared for icy road conditions beginning about noon. The city of Woodstock dispatched salt trucks to treat slick conditions. The county sheriff’s office said several townships, include Nunda Township, also had salt trucks circulating on the roads.
