Huntley resident Virginia Macalone recently won a luxurious destination package from a nationwide sweepstakes, sponsored by a financial services company.
Macalone took home the grand prize after stumbling upon the competition while surfing the Internet.
Her destination package includes $5,000 spending cash, airfare for two, a rental car, and hotel accommodations for a four-night stay at a destination of her choice, according to a news release from the Foundation Financial Group.
The group, with offices in Georgia, Florida, Texas and New York, offers insurance, retirement, mortgage and tax services. It was named one of the fastest growing companies by INC Magazine.
The financial group partnered with Southwest Airlines Vacations for the "Start Living Sweepstakes."
Macalone was one of two people to win the grand prize. Mark Boyer, the Foundation Financial Group's chief executive officer, will travel to Huntley to deliver the prize to Macalone and her husband, Carl.
"You never know you are going to be the lucky winner," Virginia Macalone said in the release.
