CRYSTAL LAKE – Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers recently was named one of the top 50 trenchless technology design firms in the country by a trade magazine.
Trenchless Technology magazine, a national publication promoting the rehabilitation and installation of underground infrastructure around the globe, ranked Baxter & Woodman No. 33 on its listing of leaders in the trenchless technology field based on results from its annual survey for 2012.
Survey criteria included statistics on overall billings, trenchless billings, number of trenchless professionals and total number of completed projects.
Baxter & Woodman has completed more than 300 trenchless technology projects in the last five years. Trenchless technology methods minimize the need to dig trenches, tear up pavement and disturb utilities when making infrastructure repairs or replacements. They can offer a cost-saving and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional open-cut methods by cutting a project’s carbon footprint as much as 85 percent.
Baxter & Woodman, an employee-owned engineering design firm based in Crystal Lake, provides planning, design, construction and technology services for water, wastewater, stormwater and transportation facilities for municipalities, counties and state agencies.
